  • 11 Jul 2026: Initial release. Monthly contributions follow the official KWSP Third Schedule (employer 13% for wages up to RM5,000, 12% above; employee 11% standard with 13%, 9%, 7% and 5.5% options). The retirement projection compounds a yearly dividend on the balance, with a half-year dividend on each year's contributions.

About the Malaysia EPF Calculator

This free calculator shows the exact KWSP contribution for any monthly salary using the official Third Schedule - the same table HRWork payroll uses - not a rough percentage. Choose the employee rate (11% standard, or 13%, 9%, 7%, 5.5%), and the employer share is applied automatically: 13% for wages up to RM5,000, 12% above, and 4% with no employee share from age 60.

The retirement projection grows your salary yearly, adds every year's contributions and compounds your chosen dividend rate so you can see your estimated EPF savings at age 55 or 60, and how much of it is dividends. Try the Salary Calculator to see EPF alongside SOCSO, EIS and PCB.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the EPF contribution rates in Malaysia?
The standard employee rate is 11% of monthly wages, with optional rates of 13%, 9%, 7% or 5.5%. Employers contribute 13% for wages up to RM5,000 and 12% above that. From age 60, the employee share stops and the employer pays 4%. Amounts follow the official KWSP Third Schedule, not a straight percentage.
Why is my EPF amount not exactly 11% of my salary?
For wages up to RM20,000 the contribution is read from the KWSP Third Schedule, which works in RM20 wage brackets rounded up to the next ringgit - so the amount is slightly different from a straight percentage. Above RM20,000 an exact percentage applies.
How is the retirement projection calculated?
Each year the calculator grows your salary by your expected increment, adds 12 months of employee plus employer contributions from the Third Schedule, and compounds the balance at your chosen dividend rate (with a half-year rate on that year's contributions). EPF's actual dividend is declared yearly and varies.
Can I withdraw my EPF at 55?
Yes. From age 55 you can withdraw Akaun 55 in full or partially; contributions after 55 go into Akaun Emas, withdrawable at 60. This calculator lets you project to either age.

Contributions follow the official KWSP Third Schedule - the same statutory engine that powers HRWork payroll. The projection is an estimate: actual EPF dividends are declared yearly, salaries change, and the projection assumes below-60 rates throughout. Always refer to KWSP for official figures.
